In June 2024, TAQA, Vision Invest, and the GIC consortium announced the financial closing for the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir project in Makkah, which will cost over $408.4 million. Jasim Husain Thabet is also the deputy chairman and a board member at Masdar. He was previously CEO and MD of Abu Dhabi Power Corporation and CEO of Tabreed.
